Mindless Reads

The husband has gone gallavanting under the garb of an official training and the weather still sucks big time...

Also, I am a little agitated over the fact that Christopher Paolini is not a fast enough writer and his third book is not out yet. Ditto @ Ashok Banker, only in his case it is the 6th one.

Did I mention that not one bookstore stocks Manda Scott's Boudica part 2 and 4?
Cosmic Thrashbags.

So, I went to the cousin's house and picked up a set of the most amazingly mindless literature I could find.

They are like the Govinda movies one used to go watch after stressful times (for e.g. exams).

I love you writer of frothy mushy nonsensical works.

Toinky, er, toinks...found your blog while searching for Manda Scott's 3rd and 4th books--why does no bookstore stock it? They're really good, though, aren't they? I read the first two and thought to myself, this is how someone should write Indian historical fiction...and since I've waited 42 years already (and counting) and nobody's done it yet, I may just have to write them myself! Anyway, I also liked Paolini's Eldest much better than his Eragorn--though he really does take a long time between books, doesn't he? Maybe he should do less promotional tours and spend more time writing. In my case, I actually wait as eagerly as my readers for the books to be published because publishers schedule books years in advance and stick to a certain schedule regardless of when the author writes them. So I had actually finished writing 'The End' of my Ramayana almost two years ago before the 6th book came out.

Keep reading...and keep writing!

Hey Toinka,

Hope these publishers, writers and book store owners wake up to the agony of avid readers and authors....
